Privacy

Having your own room means privacy. Privacy to watch the shows you desire or listen or rather blasting the music that you desire without worrying what other people would say; to contemplate your thoughts.

Growing up, I never really had a legit room to myself. I had a few rooms to myself, but only temporarily. until recently, I moved to my sister's house. Now take note that I never really wanted to move there, it was because of some certain events that I was kinda forced to. And recently, I eventually had a room to myself. Finally.

My sister has two kids. Eventually, the kids will have to sleep in their own room. And that means, I have to share a room with someone (not the kids). One thing I don't like sharing a room is you don't have privacy. Well you have but it's kinda limited.

I still have a few weeks to have the room all to myself before the kids take over.

I know this is really childish when viewed from a different perspective. It's just that some people are deprived of the simplest things that one could ask for. A simple, "I want to be alone for awhile".
